Every day, we work to build an inspiring capital that is a source of pride for all Canadians.
Learn moreBuilding on more than a century of experience, the NCC provides unique value in the Capital Region by fulfilling three specific roles: long-term planner of federal lands; principal steward of nationally significant public places; creative partner committed to excellence in development and conservation.
As long-term planner, the NCC guides the use, physical development and management of NCC-owned lands. The NCC owns about 11 percent of all land in the Capital region. We also coordinate the development of lands owned by other federal departments and agencies.
Improvements to the look, as well as the ease of access to the Portage corridor will be in place by the end of summer 2019.
