Until now, Tru's life has been one of love and acceptance. When her mom refuses to let her go on a trip to Cuba out of fear of her safety, Tru is confronted by a sobering reality. The world can be a harsh place.
Listen as Tru learns survival skills from Sahara—a girl once brutally bullied, who grew up to become a beauty queen—and Sacha, a streetwise twenty-something, who survived a tough home life.
