    Put Liberals in charge and the exact same things cost more. In the words of : "The Senate has the same purpose and the same number of senators that it's had in the past, but under the Trudeau government the cost has now ballooned."

  2. The critical importance of regional representation to our role as senators is already baked into our Constitution, and endures throughout Canadian history. We didn't need a new taxpayer-funded senators group to defend our regions: Senators have done this for 150+ years.

  5. Ont. Superior Court judge ruled Trudeau govt jury changes unconstitutional. Overwhelming evidence at Legal cmtee said help ensure fair criminal trial. I predicted this ruling & tried to amend Bill to keep challenges. VIDEO

    This is the key point conservatives need to understand -- if you act like Liberals, and campaign like Liberals, they will invariably hire the real thing, not the imposter. Political success cannot happen without the right type of differentiation.

    Partisan: an adherent or supporter of a person, group, party or cause. I’d say there is in the area of 105 of them sitting in the senate right now.

  13. What’s unbecoming is the publicly funded broadcaster suggesting it’s no big deal that a PM who has twice broken the law and is currently under RCMP investigation is skipping election debates. I’m happy to come on the show to discuss.

  17. Parliament is not meant to be convenient or comfortable for the majority. And especially not the Senate. Even the current PM, when he was leader of the third party, said that the role of the Senate is to act as a check against the power of a majority in the other place.
