Confederation Boulevard

Confederation Boulevard is the Capital’s ceremonial and discovery route, which encircles the downtown areas of Ottawa and Gatineau. It is the route that foreign dignitaries and the royal family take for processions and state visits.

The Mackenzie King Estate in Gatineau Park is a precious Canadian legacy. This 231-hectare country estate belonged to Canada’s 10th and longest-serving prime minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King.

Long-term planner of federal lands

As long-term planner, the NCC guides the use, physical development and management of NCC-owned lands. The NCC owns about 11 percent of all land in the Capital region. We also coordinate the development of lands owned by other federal departments and agencies.
