Legacy Programs
Incoming Lieutenant Governors may choose to continue or retire programs started by their predecessor. More commonly, programs continue in partnership and with the support of community organizations, non-profits and foundations such as the Government House Foundation.

Write to Read
The Honourable Judith Guichon continued to build on the literacy program the previous Lieutenant Governor, the Honourable Steven Point, developed with Rotary. Through theĀ Write to Read Project, Rotary clubs throughout British Columbia partner with remote communities and help build community libraries and other much needed amenities. With the support of the Government House Foundation, the Lieutenant Governor visits these communities and officially opens their libraries.
