Manitoba Justice - Helping Communities
Manitoba Justice serves Manitobans by helping to provide a safe, just and peaceful society. The justice system supports equality, fairness, individual responsibility and respect. Effective programs and services make safer communities.
The Legislative Assembly of Manitoba
Provincial laws are made by the Manitoba Legislature. Each proposed law is prepared in the form of a Bill, which must pass through several stages before becoming law. A detailed description of the process - including an explanation of the three readings, the committee stage, and royal assent - is available here.
