Christyne Tremblay became Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Canada on August 1, 2016.

Prior to joining NRCan, Ms. Tremblay served as Deputy Minister in several departments in the Government of Quebec, including Sustainable Development, Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change; Energy and Natural Resources; Higher Education, Research, and Science and Technology; Economic Development, Innovation and Export.  She also held executive positions in Quebec’s departments of Finance; Industry and Commerce; and International Relations.

Ms. Tremblay holds a Bachelor of Economics (University of Ottawa), a Bachelor of Political Science (University of Ottawa) and a Graduate Diploma, International Administration, from the École nationale d’administration publique.
