Dr. Amin Yazdani is a Professor and Program Coordinator for Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness at the Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning’s School of Business, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo’s School of Public Health and Health Systems, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at McMaster University’s Department of Geography and Earth Science. Dr. Yazdani’s extensive research program includes innovative approaches to improve workplace health and safety through standardization. His leadership and contributions as an academic representative—particularly with the CSA Group—have resulted in the development of a number of Canadian standards in the area of Work and Health.
In addition to direct involvement in standards development, Dr. Yazdani is also fostering the engagement of his students in standardization, helping to guarantee the next generation of standards professionals. His commitment to standards offers tremendous value to Canada’s standardization network, and we are pleased to recognize him with the 2018 SCC Young Leader Award.
