You can complete the following tasks online:
- Apply for CPP benefits
- Access the Canadian Retirement Income Calculator
- Request an access code for My Service Canada Account
- Use My Service Canada Account to:
- Change your direct deposit information
- Change your address and telephone number
- Print tax slips
- View, start, change or stop your federal voluntary tax deduction
- View or request the child-rearing provision
- Give consent for someone to communicate with Service Canada about your CPP/OAS account
- View the status of your application for CPP or OAS benefits
- View details and print an official proof of payment report of your CPP and OAS benefits
By phone
You can complete the following tasks by calling:
- Apply or update direct deposit
- Get various CPP documents including:
- Application forms
- Entitlement letters
- Rate letters
- Tax slips
- Get a CPP estimate
- Request or cancel voluntary tax withholds
- Report when a payment was not received to open an investigation and receive a duplicate
- Cancel benefits in the case of death
If you are already a CPP recipient you will need your Social Insurance Number to be identified.

- Consent to communicate information to an authorized Person
- Change or update personal information or direct deposit
- Get various CPP documents including:

- Tax slips
- Get a CPP estimate
- Request or cancel voluntary tax withholds
- Cancel benefits in the case of death
Within Canada, send your documents to the nearest Service Canada Office.
For outside of Canada, mail your documents to a Service Canada Office in the province where you last resided.
In person
You can complete the following tasks at a Service Canada office:
- Use a computer to:
- Submit supporting documents
- Use the telephone interpretation service
