Travel and Hospitality Expenses
In keeping with its ongoing commitment to good governance, transparency and proactive disclosure, SCC posts travel and hospitality expenses for both the Chair and Chief Executive Officer.
SCC's procurement policies provide the business rules governing the procurement process to ensure that goods and services are acquired in a manner that enhances access, competition and fairness, and results in best value or, if appropriate, the optimal balance of overall benefits to the Council and the Canadian people.
As a federal Crown corporation, SCC is required to undergo a special examination of its operations at least once every ten years. The investigation is carried out by the Office of the Auditor General of Canada and determines if the organization’s assets are safeguarded, that its resources are well-managed and that its operations are carried out effectively.
