Faro celebrates its 50th

The people of Faro are a resilient bunch. The mining community in the central Yukon was built in the early seventies to house 3000 people, and since then it has weathered devastating fires and mine closures. About 400 people call the community home these days, and they're celebrating the town's 50th anniversary with a bunch of events. Dave White spent a couple of days in the community, speaking with the people about what the town was like when it was booming, why they stayed, and what the future holds.
