Concern and confusion as police approach people who testified at MMIWG inquiry
Before the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls wrapped in June, it sent referral letters to some police forces requesting they "take further action" relating to some of the testimony heard during the inquiry. But it never informed those who testified it was doing so and didn't give police instructions on how to follow through, leaving both sides frustrated.
