On today's show health care promises and the federal election campaign. We'll talk to a medical journalist about which party is offering what. We're going to speak with an indigenous youth from Labrador who was in Montreal with climate activist Greta Thunberg on Friday. Bird's Eye Inc was up in Hopedale lately , we'll find out just what the owner, Eldred Allen is doing up there. Them Days editor Aimee Chaulk brings us the story of Labrador`s first full time farmer. When you hear about risk factors for breast cancer, most people think of genetic problems, not lifestyle factors. But up to 1 in 3 cases of breast cancer might be preventable by changing what we do. Dr. Peter Lin will join us with more.

History, museum, celebration and trying to save the earth!

On today's show, Happy Valley turns 76 years old today! And for throwback Thursday we're re-airing an interview with 82-year-old Ronald Perrault about the founding of Happy Valley. A church in Cartwright that was converted into a heritage museum has over 800 items in it, we're going on a tour. Some seniors in HVGB could loose their wheels if the Labrador Friendship Centre doesn't find the money to keep the senior's van going. And we're going to find out how the town of Happy Valle-Goose Bay plans to mark the founding of Happy Valley on September 26, 1943.

On today's podcast, there's a climate change strike happening all over Canada today, including Happy Valley Goose-Bay. An Inuk mom and student says racist remarks are bad coming from anyone but when they come from political leaders, that's an ever bigger issue. The Inuit Art Foundation is looking for Inuit Artists to be included in their online data base, you'll hear how you can get your name included. The United Church of Canada wants to know what social justice issues matter to Labradorians; we'll find out why the Minister for Justice and Mission overseeing the Atlantic region has been touring Labrador to connect with groups. NunutuKavut Community Council celebrated while Innu Nation was infuriated we spoke with Innu Nation's legal counsel the issue of indigenous rights and land claims after NCC signed an MOU with the feds last week. They're on the hunt for whelk and scallop in waters near Nain, take a ride on a new vessel searching for a renewed fishery in Nunatsiavut. A strange starfish Rigolet surfaced in Rigolet, we'll hear from, resident Charlotte Wolfrey.

Outdoor skills, ship delays, and more...

Women from across Labrador will be learning some new outdoor skills this weekend at a camp geared just for them. Reporter Justin Brake, who is facing criminal charges after following a group of protesters into the Muskrat Falls site, is launching a charter challenge to fight against them. Suicide - just mentioning the word can trigger vivid reaction for some. Today, we'll talk about how to prevent it. While some parts of the maritimes are still cleaning up from Hurricane Dorian, Labrador Marine passengers are still catching up... we hear from some.

With school starting this week, you know ski season is right around the corner, we checked in with Smokey Mountain on some upgrades they've done, and plans they have for the future. A young woman from Port Hope Simpson had an encounter with a wolf on the Trans Labrador Highway. Taste of home....we dropped by a greenhouse in Happy Valley-Goose Bay where the vegetables grown inside are in high demand from the Filipino community. And we checked in with an avid gardener in St. Lewis to see how his vegetables are growing this summer......

And with the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing we spoke with Happy Valley-Goose Bay's very own "moon baby".

Tragedy, goodbyes, challenges and good news...

On today's show, a tragedy left 3 dead and 4 unaccounted when a float plane crashed in Mistastin Lake. We say goodbye to a faithful listener of Labrador Morning.The investment to rejuvenate the landing strip at YYR is promising the lift the ban to land big planes and that's good news for businesses in Goose Bay. Minipi Outfitter's is hosting a running challenge and the name definitely doesn't deceive and four canoers have left Lab City to canoe about 800 KM to Nain, we'll hear about their excursion.

You've heard the expression - "I can't hear myself think," well that can happen with animals too, man-made noise pollution interferes with life for marine mammals CBC's Andrew Waterman brings us a piece from under the sea.The new Pumpkin House Day Care is officially open and we got a look inside. 5 Wing base will be flying into the future after a federal government investment. The gas is flowing at Rigolet's community gas station, we spoke with Sarah Leo from the Nunatsiavut Group of Companies.

Getting in the swing of summer, visiting camp, pride celebrations, barbecuing and more.

We visited the storytelling and social media camp from Nunatukavut. The Nunatsiavut Government is commemorating the 100th anniversary of Okak by inviting one hundred people back to the community. Lab West was recongized by a National Magazine for having one of the best small town pride celebrations. A lifetime achievement award for North west River's own Shirley Montague. Noreen Careen, is and avid volunteer and is one of 5 people across the province being awarded for it. And, it's grilling season and we visited MHA Perry Trimper's back deck for a BBQ question period.

Voyage along the coast from Cartwright to the Torngat mountains

A class action lawsuit has ruled in favour of survivors of the sixties scoop. Find out who is eligible for compensation and how you can apply. It's Pride Week in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and organizers told us about the tons of events they have planned. Wabush City council has voted down the idea of amalgamation with Lab City twice now, but some residents continue to fight for it to happen, we heard from one of them. Partridges, Salmon and a Boardwalk... does it sound like Rigolet? Well, an artist who lives there thought so and his design won the sign contest for the town... we spoke with Leonard Bennett

Books and circus...fun times except when it comes to transportation

Transportation issues: no ferry for the north coast and a scary flight!
