Plans being made to move Kashechewan, but not fast enough for frustrated flood-prone First Nation
People in the northern Ontario First Nation of Kashechewan are making some big plans. The federal government has promised to relocate the flood-prone Cree community to higher and drier ground within a decade. But Kashechewan is hoping to make the move much faster than that.

Sudbury city councillor disappointed work to stop on Chelmsford trail after funding request denied
Gerry Montpellier is now calling the Whitson River Waterway Trail in Chelmsford a ‘Road to Nowhere' because it will be incomplete. The city councillor in Greater Sudbury is disappointed work on a new non-motorized trail will be halted after his funding request to complete the project was turned down.
