FCA Target dates, Winter 2020

Under the direction of the Chief Justice, the Judicial Administrator will give advance notice of the proposed sittings of the Court of Appeal in cities other than Ottawa.

The Bar is requested to take account of such proposed sittings when making applications for hearings.

It is proposed that the Court of Appeal sit in the following cities at the following times:

Vancouver:

• November 18 to 21, 2019
• December 16 to 19, 2019
• January 13 to 16, 2020
• February 3 to 6, 2020
• March 30 to April 2, 2020

Calgary:

• March 16 to 19, 2020

Edmonton:

• November 4 to 7, 2019
• March 2 to 5, 2020

Regina/Saskatoon:

• March 9 to 12, 2020

Toronto:

• November 12 to 14, 2019
• November 18 to 21, 2019
• November 25 to 28, 2019
• December 2 to 5, 2019
• January 13 to 16, 2020
• January 20 to 23, 2020
• February 3 to 6, 2020
• February 24 to 27, 2020
• March 2 to 5, 2020
• March 23 to 26, 2020

Ottawa:

• November 12 to 14, 2019
• November 25 to 28, 2019
• December 9 to 12, 2019
• December 16 to 19, 2019
• January 27 to 30, 2020
• February 10 to 13, 2020
• February 17 to 20, 2020
• March 16 to 19, 2020

Montréal:

• November 4 to 7, 2019

Whether or not the Court will sit during these periods depends upon the number and nature of the cases that are ready for that period.
