Inflation climbs to 2.2%, Statistics Canada reports
The annual pace of inflation heated up in November as gasoline prices posted their first year-over-year increase since October 2018, Statistics Canada said Wednesday. The rate reached 2.25 per cent, which is above the Bank of Canada's target of 2 per cent.
