Photographs, Webcasts or Audio/Video Recordings

To request permission to use a photograph found on the Supreme Court of Canada’s Website, or the webcast or audio/video recording of a hearing of the Court, please fill out and submit the electronic form.

Conditions for use

Commercial use is subject to certain restrictions. For example, the use of official photographs, webcasts or audio/video recordings of the Court in dramatic productions or fictional films will not be authorized.

If the request is granted, a letter of agreement setting out the conditions for use of the photograph or video will be sent to the signatory of the agreement.

Fees

As set out in Schedule A to the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada, fees of $35 may apply.

Methods of Payment

Please do not provide your credit card number or send a cheque or money order until a Communications Services staff member contacts you with the payment details. Payment must be received before the recordings can be delivered or transmitted to you. Any cheque or money order must be made payable to the “Receiver General for Canada” and sent, together with the acknowledgment of receipt confirming your request, to:
