In the heart of Québec: the Battlefields Park.

One of Canada’s most important historical parks;
One of the most prestigious city parks.

INFORMATION WITH REGARDS TO COVID-19

Notice

To limit the spread of COVID-19, the National Battlefields Commission (NBC) closed the Plains of Abraham Museum, the sanitary facilities and the service pavilion on March 14 until further notice.

To continue enjoying the green spaces of the Plains of Abraham, the NBC reiterates that it counts on the diligence of the park users to respect the directives issued by public health authorities and, more specifically, social distancing directives. Stay two metres away from each other, it is essential!

Gatherings being prohibited and social distancing being required until further notice, the NBC has decided to cancel the Great Celebration of Nature, to be held on May 24, and the Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand musical season, scheduled to begin on June 14.

To Do

In this time of self-isolation, the NBC continues its mandate of preserving and developing the historic legacy of the Battlefields Park, Canada's first national historic park. To do so, we are offering virtual activities and maintaining our interactions with our communities. Here is our Plains From a Distance offer:

Let's stay connected and respect public health directives to limit the spread of COVID-19!

Welcome to the Plains of Abraham!

Site of major battles, the Battlefields Park includes the Plains of Abraham and Des Braves Park. Apart from its historical past, the park is to Québec what Central Park and Hyde Park are to New York and London: a city park of outstanding value, the lungs of the city.

The Plains of Abraham Museum is the gateway to the Park, offering exhibitions, activities, services and all information for your visit.

Since 1908, the National Battlefields Commission, a federal government agency, is responsible for the preservation and development of this ideal gathering place where four million visitors are welcomed annually.
