    This is a great species to look out for if you're doing the ! Very common on gravel paths, bare earth, and in sidewalk cracks. I have some growing in my balcony planter box!

    One of my favourite mosses this time of year is silvery Bryum. When you see a whole colony it has a strange silvery-look because of the hyaline (colourless) leaf tips. It's also incredibly widespread, ranging from Antarctica to the far north of Canada and Europe
