I sadly caught an error in the subtitle text that leaves out an important word. To be clear, you -don't- need to name the ethnicity or culture you're putting down to incite racism; the dog whistle is enough to cause harm.pic.twitter.com/0OSaJpQzUZ

Good for you Bowinn. My wife is Chinese so I hear about every bit of anti Asian crime in BC from her if I miss it myself, but we have to acknowledge that we are ALL capable of intolerance. The present day treatment of Africans in China needs some public education.

Did you watch the video? What does anti-Black racism in China have to do with anti-Asian racism here in Canada? Have you ever heard anyone argue that people in China, or anywhere else, can't be intolerant? I haven't, and you certainly didn't hear that here.

I am deeply disappointed in Bryan Adams even using the term "wet market" which was invented by American wordsmiths describe what would be called an open-air market, a farmers market anywhere else. Because we Europeans used racism to colonize the world we must answer for it, Bryan

Whataboutism is not an excuse for discrimination. There is NO excuse for discrimination.

thank you, bowinn. you hit the nail on the head. in my opinion, what bryan specifically said yesterday wasn’t completely racist, but what it did do was open the door widely and welcome it with open arms. and i don’t think he realizes that yet.

This is probably the most sensible thing I have heard on the topic thus far.
