Office of
Communications & Public Affairs.

Our office tells the stories about the people, discoveries, achievements and events that make U of G like no other university in Canada.

Our online news site is the primary source for U of G news and feature stories. Our News Service team also handles media relations, including promoting University faculty and staff experts to the media, monitoring U of G’s media presence and providing media training.

A bimonthly electronic newsletter, NewsLinks, keeps our faculty and staff up-to-date on the University’s priorities and projects and builds engagement among campus members.

The events listing on the University homepage informs readers about activities around campus.

Our website & social media team manages the University homepage, other key websites, and oversees graphics and content standards, domain name approval and web-related policies. They also oversee our active university Facebook page and manage the University’s Twitter, Instagram and other social media accounts.

The Portico alumni magazine keeps more than 110,000 U of G graduates connected through a printed publication and web-only features such as video and photo galleries.
