Our work in the Executive Council Office includes advancing reconciliation by working with Yukon First Nations, supporting the Premier’s work with other Premiers across the country to make life better for all Canadians and helping the government make decisions that are environmentally, socially and economically responsible. Other work we do includes supporting the Cabinet decision-making process and making it easier for the public to find the information and services they’re looking for and give their input into government decisions.

We are the government’s main point of contact on matters relating to the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act (YESAA). This federal legislation guides assessment of proposed projects in Yukon. We work with other governments and departments to ensure that decision-making on projects meets present and future needs. Our vision is a sustainable Yukon built on strong partnerships, solid relationships and open communication. We help government departments fulfil their responsibilities under YESAA, and represent government as the decision body on major projects.
