Dr. Courtney Howard is a Canadian ER physician who is also President of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment[1][2], as well as a board member with the Canadian Medical Association,[3] Associate Professor at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine[4][5], and a former candidate for the leadership of the Green Party of Canada based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.[6]

Dr. Howard attended Simon Fraser University and went to medical school at McGill University.[1] She is especially concerned about how climate change affects her northern patients. Dr. Howard has been featured or published in The Lancet[7][8], People Magazine[9], The Conversation[4], the National Observer[10], and other publications.[11][12]
