Safety is always our number one priority, but right now it's especially important. Using your feedback and guidance from Provincial Health and Education Ministries, we're prepared to get back to Scouting.
As local health guidelines vary, the location of Scouting activities may change—luckily, outdoor discovery and hands-on learning are at the heart of the Scouting program, no matter where an activity takes place.
All activities will be modified to maintain safe social distancing and contact will be minimized, including common greetings like handshakes. Drop-off and pick-up will also be adjusted to keep a safe amount of space.
In-person activities have a limited number of youth, which are split into cohorts. Attendance will also be limited including parents, Scouters, helpers, activity providers, or anyone else.
All surfaces and equipment will be cleaned before and after use to ensure they meet or exceed our cleanliness and physical distancing requirements.
Before arriving at any Scouting activity, all participants will need to complete a self-assessment. This standardized screening checklist will ensure that everyone is in good health.
Food and drink sharing are off the table and bringing food to meetings will be minimized or eliminated.
After 3 months we’ll revisit our safety procedures to see what we’ve learned and where we can do better.

Scouting builds resiliency. And if we can help our kids find resiliency we know they’ll be prepared, no matter what life throws at them. So we asked for help from a resiliency expert: Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe, a specialist in resiliency and navigating stress and change.
“When children are resilient they are braver, more curious, more adaptable, and more able to extend their reach into the world.”
Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe
From September 1 to December 31, we’re extending memberships for returning Scouts and offering a free trial to non-Scouts.
Scouts helps kids develop self-confidence, values, and problem-solving skills. And along the way, they develop into well-rounded, resilient youth better prepared for success in the world.
$15 from each registration will be given back to their Group.
