The Outbreak Management Team (OMT) is the Dutch advisory body that advises the minister of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and the Ministerial Crisis Management Committee (MCCb) in the fight against an epidemic.[1] The advice is limited to the medical perspective of the epidemic, also apparent from the composition of the team. The OMT was activated in the 2009 swine flu pandemic, the Q fever epidemic, Western African Ebola virus epidemic in 2014 and the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands in 2020.[2]
