Designated access officers
A designated access officer (DAO) is a statutory officer created by the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIPP). The DAO is appointed by the head of a public body and is responsible for helping the head of the public body respond to ATIPP requests.
DAOs for ministerial public bodies are appointed to their role by the head. Ministerial public bodies include Government of Yukon departments, corporations and directorates.
