The 44th Canadian Parliament is the upcoming federal legislature of Canada, which will commence once the membership of its Lower House, the House of Commons of Canada, having been determined by the results of the 2021 federal election held on 20 September 2021, starts exercising its powers.
Timeline[edit]
- 20 September 2021: In the 44th Canadian federal election, the incumbent Liberal Party won most seats in the House of Commons, but failed to reach a majority government.[1]
- 26 October 2021: The new Cabinet was sworn-in, the first overseen by Governor General Mary May Simon.[2]
