Summary[edit]

Young farmers sow a mixture of corn and beans in a terrace in Andamarca, Valley Sondondo, Perú. Conquistadors brought plows and cattle when they arrived in South America, and plows replaced the traditional chaquitaclla in preparing the soil to be planted.
