Curio.ca retains no personal data on students. All student access is anonymous.
Teachers who wish to make use of our playlist and annotation features will be required to create an account on the site.
Any teacher information collected is governed by the CBC/Radio-Canada policy on the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with all requirements set out in the Privacy Act.

In accordance with this policy:
- No personal information shall be collected by CBC/Radio-Canada unless it relates directly to an operating program or activity of CBC/Radio-Canada.
- CBC/Radio-Canada shall, wherever possible, collect personal information that is intended to be used for an administrative purpose directly from the individual to whom it relates except where the individual authorizes otherwise.
- CBC/Radio Canada shall inform any individual from whom it collects personal information of the purpose for which the information is being collected.
- Personal information under the control of CBC/Radio-Canada shall not, without the consent of the individual to whom it relates, be used or disclosed by CBC/Radio-Canada except for the purpose for which the information was obtained or compiled or for a use consistent with that purpose.
