How to use this page

Fixing references and common medical problems!
Warning: for legal reasons, we must note that the Resource Exchange cannot fix any medical problems. But it can fix references.

Making a request

Before asking volunteers to look for your source, try finding it yourself with the tools at your disposal.

In particular, eligible editors can use the Wikipedia Library, which gives access to content provided by numerous academic publishers.

• Though we would prefer you to ask for a specific journal, article or work, we will accept open-ended questions. You can ask for all kinds of sources here, either on this page or by writing directly to an active user.
• Provide as much detail as possible: a full citation with author, title, publisher, date and identifiers like DOI, ISBN, ISSN, PMID, OCLC, etc. Indicate which article you need this for.
• Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot send you full book/thesis copies. Narrow down your request to a specific chapter or page(s).
• Add the {{Resolved}} template when your request is completed.
• Filled requests are archived. Requests unfilled after three months will also be archived.

Fulfilling a request

• Anyone may offer advice and fulfill requests, in full or in part. When fulfilling a part of a request, tell others which one so that they don't have to do the same work.
• Notify (mention) the requester using {{u|REQUESTER_USERNAME}}.
• You can:
  • post a URL address ( https://... ) if the material is available online and the webpage does not infringe others' copyrights
  • share scans of pages or documents using a file-sharing service if legal
  • upload out of copyright works to Wikimedia Commons and/or Wikisource (make sure your institution's policies allow this). Check Wikimedia Commons's guide for copyright in each jurisdiction if in doubt.
  • email a link or plain text to a requester using the Special:EmailUser ("wikimail") feature. Attachments are not supported, so you need the user's email address to send them. You can configure your wikimail in Special:Preferences.

Copyright tips

Respect copyrights and terms of services of any online services you use. Limit sharing content online that the copyright holders have restricted access to to the minimum level: only to the individuals who need it, only to the minimal degree necessary to fulfil the request and only to improve Wikipedia. We share content under a presumed non-commercial, educational, fair use purpose to improve our articles or create new ones. Whenever possible, share copies privately. You should not upload copyrighted copies from print publications or online databases for unrestricted distribution via open websites. Individual editors are solely responsible for sharing copyrighted content and assume all legal risks. Check the laws of your jurisdiction to make sure you are comfortable and safe giving access to it.

These are a series of scientific articles I am unable to access online. I have checked the Wikipedia Library as well as Google Scholar. Most of these are unlikely to be in English. Two of them (the ones by Bakr) I suspect are rare outside of Pakistan.

Unfortunately, no, I'm not certain about the publication information; I tracked it down as a potential source second or third-hand a while ago. In the Department of Zoology, Punjab University, the total number of the speciments of fossil Carnivora is eighteen. More collection was made last year. The total number of species that discovered is sixteen. Of these four i.e. Vishnucyon nagriensis, Sivaonyx minor, Lycaena felina and Panthera dhokpathanensis are new. The other speciments also given additional information about the known species. The work has been carried out under Pakistan Foundation, Project No. P-PU/Bio (102).

According to the below article, The March number of "Arts and Crafts" is, as usual, full of articles which are intended to provide students and art workers with useful information on a variety of subjects in which they are interested. The most important of these articles are "Various Methods of Finishing Oak," by Mr. W. Daniell; "Metal Work," by Mr. H. J. Maryon; "Practical Talks about Wood-Carving," by Mr. H. Turner; "Inlaying," by Mr. A[rthur] C[awdron] Horth; and "Bookbinding," by Mr. F. Sangorski and Mr. G. Sutcliffe. Among the more notable illustrations are reproductions of drawings by Henner, E. Detaille, and Feyen Perrin.

The starting point is to figure out what journal this is—a task not helped by its generic name. There's a good chance that this is a small journal that didn't last long. The article would be Maryon's second published work that I'm aware of, five months after "Early Irish Metal Work", in another small journal. Any help would be appreciated. How's this going? If you're having trouble with the ILL, I should be able to request an ILL for OCLC 225804755 pretty easily, as my university is within the Big Ten Academic Alliance, and so is one of the libraries that has it. Citations from old Art and living magazines

Hello. I'm trying to determine whether there are enough sources to save Richard Whitney (artist). At present the article has no citations at all, but it does quote from Town & Country (magazine) and Fine Art Connoisseur, though without detailed citations. The subject has provided me with more useful citations, but I can't find those articles online (I can find the issue of Fine Art Connoiseur in archive.com, but not the article). I can't see a resource in WP:LIBRARY that looks promising. I've put all the information I have in the citations: I realise it's incomplete, and I will be asking the subject for more info (see WP:HD#Author request deletions on my Gallery at Richard Whitney (artist)). Anybody got access to either of these?

This is for a relevant articles for deletion on FRwiki. I noticed Montreal Gazette had archives on Newspapers.com but I havent found other archives of English newspapers.

Obviously I cannot and will not request everything, but I need some info about what was happening, how many Germans were living in that city, what they were doing there, what did they do with the women, elderly and children who remained in the resort, preparations for the Atlantic Wall as relevant to the city and the reason why Le Touquet was so densely mined even though it had little intrinsic military value. Any relevant excerpts that will reflect on this issue will be welcome. I want to make a text that's max 2 paragraphs, beginning from the internment order of enemy males under 60.

If not here, Birds of the World, which I also cannot access, may have some information.

I've received the scans of those pages. I didn't find any mentions of "Hudson" by looking manually, so I searched HathiTrust, which found mentions on pp. 55, 59, 61-63, 134, 224, 474-475, 512, 514. I also searched for "Huemules" (as you mentioned in a different thread on this page), and found p. 309. The only page of those in the scan is p. 224, and the only mention I see of it there is in a map.

If you contact me via Special:EmailUser, I can send you p. 224. I can send you additional pages if you explain how you're going to use them to contribute to Wikipedia. I don't see any other mention of Hudson in the chapter. However, they do test some samples from Río Ibáñez, which the map I sent you shows has one end near Volcán Hudson. There are also other chapters of the book that talk about some sort of Hudson, probably the volcano. Let me know if I should send and/or request anything further. For Digital Cinema Package (and other related articles), I need additional technical sources regarding the packaging of external control data inside digital audio streams. I have an IEEE source I've been using for these article already which is open access (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9161348), however I need an additional IEEE source which is not. I have tried several online resources, including through my local library & EBSCOhost, and I have not been able to find access for this publication. I had access to HighBeam previously, however that program was shut down. Is this paper available to Wikipedians through a library or research partner?

I recently noticed that my ILL request for the chapters of "Százegy azerbajdzsáni népmese" was unfortunately "Cancelled by ILL Staff" because they were "Unable to find supplier", and they didn't notify me, just silently disappeared it. (I found a way to see a list of all my cancelled requests, and there thankfully aren't any others.)

The only library listed on WorldCat for it (https://search.worldcat.org/title/1014571845) is the "Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences". I guess they don't do ILL for universities in the US?

Please let me know if there's anything else you'd like me to try for that book. If you find some way my university can get it, let me know and I'll let my library staff know.

For Kimchi. I've been looking for ages for this paper. The journal's online archives do not have this paper (page numbers for volume 6 only go up to 464). The journal does have an ISSN (1225-7060), but they've only had that since 2014. They have no doi for papers this old. I've checked koreascience.kr and DBpia to no avail.

I need a London resident willing to go to the British Library at St Pancras and scan the microfilm of a 1965 Evening Standard article.

(The article is not available on Newspapers.com; see my previous WP:RX request here [3].)

• Evening Standard
• Title appears to be: "IT'S THE GHOST OF LILLIE LANGTRY - AS QUEER THINGS HAPPEN IN HER OLD HOME".
• Date of the article is April 2, 1965.
• One exact quote I've seen attributed several times to it is "Langtry's ghost appeared one day".

@Sollyucko:, in this case, "King Iguana" is mentioned by Dutch scholar Jan de Vries in the early 1920s with other Indonesian variants of animal bridegroom tales. Dutch G. A. J. Hazeu also published a conference paper in 1904 about animal bridegroom tales in Java, which match the Indonesian type. Nicolaus Andriani also described the character of the animal bridegroom in Indonesia. I want to check the Vietnamese type first, since Tran Quynh Ngoc Buia abstracted a similar tale type, but will put it on the back burner until I have more sources. Regardless, I can use Tran Quynh Ngoc Bui's article to translate "Sọ Dừa" (an article in the Vietnamese wikipedia) to English (since I did find English language summaries of the tale), and indicate King Iguana as a "See also". I'd like to fix a disagreement between the Hebrew and English versions. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuntillet_Ajrud_inscriptions#Meshel_(%E2%84%96_unknown) There also seems to be a discrepancy between Meshel's early paper "The Name of God in the Wilderness of Zin" in 1976 and later mentions on the number of inscriptions found in situ on (intact) plastered wall. That paper contains some lovely details, but I'm conflicted about adding some things since I don't know if they were drastically rethought by 2012.

Anyone willing to find a library loan (University of California system?), personally lend or donate (druthers!) a copy of the book to me, it would be more than put to its good use. The table of contents for the 1979 version shown in https://archive.org/details/volcanicactivity0000shee shows that chapter 11 has a section titled "Volcanism in the Boreal Interior: The White River Ash". However, searching for other words gives results within the book gives some results, whereas Churchill doesn't, so it presumably doesn't mention it. Would it still be useful for the White River Ash, or do you already have enough for that?

Neither Google Books nor HathiTrust finds any results for "Churchill" in the 2013 version; what did you see of interest in the snippets?

For me, searching Google Books (Samalas, 1257) gives me snippets but not page numbers. It looks like the last snippet is of the index, which lists only page 214 for Samalas. I don't have the page numbers, so I don't think I can request a scan, but I could request the whole book. Alternatively, I found a website that has an EPUB of the full book, but its legality is questionable, so I'm not going to link to it directly, but it's not hard to find.
