The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist. Any administrator can edit the spam whitelist. Please post comments to the appropriate section below: Proposed additions (web pages to unblock), Proposed removals (sites to reblock), or Troubleshooting and problems; read the messageboxes at the top of each section for an explanation. See also MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at the bottom of the Proposed additions to Whitelist section and not at the very bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

  1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
  2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
  3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
  4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1196315371#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

Admins: Use seth's tool to search the spamlists.

Notice to everyone about our Reliable sources and External links noticeboards[edit]

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

Proposed additions to Whitelist (web pages to unblock)[edit]

kickstarter.com[edit]

The RoboCop statue article could use a link to the Kickstarter campaign that was used to fund it. gobonobo + c 17:45, 29 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This source will be used to reference the original proposed height and composition of the statue, which is not mentioned in other references. The campaign has been over for 12 years, so the link cannot be used to solicit additional funds. Also, the Kickstarter page was the origin of the project itself, without which the statue would not have been created. gobonobo + c 13:12, 20 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

archive.today of 4channel.org[edit]

Used to illustrate historical event on LLaMA about leak of data. —DIYeditor (talk) 06:34, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

no Declined; message boards are not a reliable source. Stifle (talk) 15:29, 9 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's not be used as a source. Maybe it should be moved to an external link in external links? —DIYeditor (talk) 16:19, 11 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

ancient-origins.net[edit]

I'm not interested in the entire site, but would like to cite this one page, which seems legit, to include the Cathars here: Child cannibalism#Ritual_practice_accusations. 2600:8800:1180:25:CC91:B6EC:C91D:B13C (talk) 19:54, 17 December 2023 (UTC) Alexander Sauda/אלכסנדר סעודה (talk) 09:53, 17 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

theamericanreporter.com[edit]

I'm not interested in the entire website, just this page. It helps portray a more balanced view of the case against Ocwen Financial and more specifically, William Erbey. I would like to use it to reference information on the Wikipedia page about William Erbey.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ellen111991 (talkcontribs)

no Declined. This was globally blacklisted as part of the 'california' spam farm, a blackhat site which hosts unmarked paid SEO articles. You will need to be more careful sourcing articles related to that person, given this type of PR is in play. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:40, 18 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

liminul.xyz[edit]

This is an independent magazine article featuring pictures contributed by the subject of the article. The article features info on her career beginnings that I wish to feature in Sisi Superstar.

This is also my first time submitting one of these requests, so apologies in advance if I missed anything :) Cornmazes (talk) 03:41, 21 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yyyello? Would appreciate if someone could get around to reviewing this. Cornmazes (talk) 01:03, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

www.scirp.org/journal/paperinformation.aspx?paperid=125244[edit]

It was linked in a mass message [1] (they can apparently override the blacklist?). It's on many user talk pages where it prevents manual archiving. It was reported at Wikipedia:Help desk#Cannot archive posts from talk page due to blacklist warning. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:16, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Three Kickstarter links[edit]

  • Link requested to be whitelisted: kickstarter.com/projects/chompiclub/chompi-a-magical-tape-music-instrument/description
  • Link requested to be whitelisted: kickstarter.com/projects/chompiclub/chompi-a-magical-tape-music-instrument/posts/3769313
  • Link requested to be whitelisted: kickstarter.com/projects/chompiclub/chompi-a-magical-tape-music-instrument/posts/3986206

I'd like to use these as sources in Draft:Chompi - they have information that, while primary, is still useful to the article and isn't available elsewhere. Suntooooth, it/he (talk/contribs) 18:26, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

ZoomInfo FAQs[edit]

I'd like to link to this specific page (the FAQs) within the ZoomInfo website from the ZoomInfo page. Specifically, the new Controversies section would benefit from being able to use this specific page to illustrate how ZoomInfo captures your contact info -- and those of all your email contacts -- and publishes it in ZoomInfo's database to then sell to its customers. That is, it would be nice to be able to show that this morally questionable practice is essentially admitted to by ZoomInfo themselves on the FAQs page of their own website. For now, I've left the reference in the ZoomInfo page but inserted a "xxxx" in the middle of the URL as a placeholder. I'll remove that placeholder when this request is approved (or delete the whole citation if not approved). I've also added a citation to a secondary source that describes what can be found at that FAQ link (https://old.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/hmaanz/zoominfo_data_collection_notice/g6jhtk7/). ~~Phatmattt12188~~ (Please note that this is my first time posting here. Hopefully I'm doing this correctly. Please let me know if I need to change anything or if this is the improper place for what I'm trying to accomplish on the ZoomInfo#Controversies page.)

web.archive.org of nyweekly.com[edit]

I am interested in the article on Karishhma Mago, as it will help in establishing her blockchain journey. As to becoming a crypto expert. I would like to use it as a reference in two sections of the draft.--Afí-afeti (talk) 09:47, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

no Declined This is a globally blacklisted domain. It's a blackhat seo sink; part of the Kivo farm of blogs. This is not, in any way, an acceptable source for a sketchy biography. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:11, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Noted; how do I know a global blacklist domain? Afí-afeti (talk) 12:49, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Indianradio.in[edit]

Link requested to be whitelisted: Indianradio.in-remove the indianradio.in

no Declined For whitelisting, you'll need to identify a specific link to white list. You'll also need to state a reason for whitelisting, which is quite unlikely given the history here. Sam Kuru (talk) 12:23, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
And you (Geeta443/whatever account shows up next) will have to get your original account unblocked and start contributing constructively to the encyclopedia. No one is going to assist a block evader so they can continue spamming. MrOllie (talk) 13:38, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Proposed removals from Whitelist (web pages or link patterns to re-block)[edit]
