With roots coming from the Saugeen First Nation Reserve in Ontario, Ojibwa Inspirational Country Artist Stirling John is proud to call Alberta home. Residing just outside of Edmonton, Stirling John takes pride in working alongside the first nation communities across Canada, with a strong passion for helping Indigenous youth. In 2022, Stirling John invested much of his time and efforts into recording a new project digging deep into his soul and drawing on what he is most passionate about, other people and giving back to the community. In doing so, Stirling John found himself. The title track, “Where I’m Meant To Be” from the new album, is a bit of an awakening, a realization of what means the most.

Music has always been close to Stirling’s heart. However, after performing with his family in his younger years, music began to take a backseat to life. After high school, Stirling John chose to become a police officer and start a family. Over the next few years, Stirling’s path took several turns, eventually leading him back to a place of comfort and passion…Inspirational Country Music. Stirling John is committed to putting light on the topics that matter most to him, real-life people and events.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Paul Brandt, The Newsboys, Chris Tomlin and Rascal Flatts, Stirling John’s introspective music carries his listeners down a path of emotion. Stirling spends time volunteering and helping develop music programs for Indigenous Students at underfunded schools. Stirling’s main focus is travelling to reserves in Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan and educating through speaking and performing music to educate and bring awareness to substance abuse issues, mental health, gang awareness, human trafficking and domestic violence.  Through his passion for helping others, Stirling has the opportunity to become the first Ambassador to the Veterans Association Food Bank in Alberta and started the Stirling John Foundation for Youth Empowerment where he works to better the lives of youth providing mentorship and leadership in their lives. Over the past few years Stirling has been a multi nominee between the Country Music Alberta Board(CMAB), Gospel Music Association(GMA) and also recipient of the 2022 Okimaw 7 Teaching Award.  Stirling was named the 2023 Spiritual Artist of the Year at the Breakout West Western Canadian Music Awards.
