- 2 January – Unidentified gunmen shoot and kill six people in Mir Alia, a former stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban in the country's northwest near the Afghanistan border.[1]
- 10 January – The Supreme Court of Pakistan upholds the 2019 death sentence upon late former leader Pervez Musharraf, who lived in exile until his death in February 2023.[2]
- 16 January – Iran launches a missile attack within Pakistan, targeting what it describes are terrorist sites. Pakistan calls the action an "unprovoked violation" of its airspace resulting in the death of two children and injuries to three others.[3]
