  • January 2 – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim launched the Central Database Hub (PADU), which is a system and platform containing individual and household profiles of the citizens and permanent residents & Minister of Transport Anthony Loke Siew Fook announced that the Malaysian motorists would be able to renew their driving licenses and road taxes via the MyJPJ application starting from 1 February 2024.[1][2]
  • January 10Merdeka 118 was officially opened by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.[3]
