Research and Development (R&D)

NRC's non invasive, in situ, laser spectroscopic techniques follow the chemical evolution of a membrane electrode assembly of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC).Leading-edge research and development is at the very core of the National Research Council's (NRC) contribution to Canada and all Canadians.

Working across Canada and around the world, NRC pursues cutting-edge R&D that:

  • helps build Canada's innovation and technology capacity;
  • supports the growth of Canadian industry;
  • uncovers solutions to national challenges in health, climate change, the environment, clean energy and other fields.

NRC brings its support through research excellence, collaborations with companies and communities across Canada, and leadership in building the national R&D infrastructure and the Canadian system of innovation.
