The Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) and the Archives Association of Ontario (AAO) are pleased to jointly hold their annual conferences at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON, from June 21-24, 2007.
The program theme for 2007 is "As Others See Us: Archivists and Society."

Following are four important announcements of results from the ACA 31st AGM, held July 1, 2006 at the Delta St. John’s Hotel and Conference Centre in St. John's, NL.

Heather Home (Queen’s University Archives) was confirmed to the Board of Directors as Secretary-Treasurer and Scott Goodine (Provincial Archives of Alberta) was confirmed as ACA President

The members and Board of ACA are pleased to recognize Diane Haglund with the Membership Recognition Award for her contributions in recent years and to recognize Marion Beyea with an Honorary Membership for her significant contributions to the association and community over many years.

The Program for ACA 2006 in St. John’s is now posted to the Conference area of the ACA web site in its final version. Those attending the Conference are encouraged to download and print their copies of the program as well as other information which you wish to have at hand during the conference.

An up to date Conference at a Glance is available on the main Conference page.
A minor adjustment was made to the timing of social activities on Thursday, June 29th.

Just over 200 delegates are registered for the Conference. Some tickets are still available for the Opening Reception at the Rooms, the Awards Luncheon at St. John's City Hall, and the Reception at Government House. These activities are open to members, delegates and their guests, on a space available basis.

Complete the Social Sign-up form if you have not yet done this, or contact the ACA office if you wish to add an event.

This notice is sent as a reminder that the Association of Canadian Archivists will hold its 2006 Annual General Meeting in St. John's, NL on July 1, 2006 in Salon C at the Delta St. John's Hotel and Conference Centre, beginning at 4 pm local time.
