LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE TREASURY BOARD
AND
THE CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL
EMPLOYEES
The employer and the Association agree to extend the period in which volunteer leave is used until June 30, 2004 in
order to facilitate granting of the volunteer leave negotiated between the parties in the Translation Group collective
agreement signed on February 23, 2004.
This is an exceptional measure for the 2003-2004 fiscal year that does not commit either the Translation Bureau or
the Treasury Board for the coming years; the leave must be taken during the fiscal year in which it is acquired, and it
may not be carried over from one year to the next.
