Investing in Innovation
The Agri-Innovators Committee
The Agri-Innovators Committee was created in 2012 to advise the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food on issues consistent with the Minister's responsibilities and relevant to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's mandate and priorities. The Committee provided advice on various aspects of innovation for the sector, with a view to accelerating the development and adoption of innovation to make the sector more profitable, competitive, and sustainable.
AgriInnovation Program
The AgriInnovation Program is a five-year initiative under the Growing Forward 2 policy framework. It provides funding for research, development and knowledge transfer related to creating innovative products, technologies and practices in agriculture.
Cost-Benefit Analysis of Two Innovation Cases
This report on the cost-benefit analysis of two successful innovation cases summarizes the estimated return on investments of 2 agricultural research innovation cases. The investments include project funding from the federal and provincial governments, industry and producer organizations.
