The Wrangler is powered by a 285-horsepower, 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 mated to either a six-speed manual or an available five-speed automatic. In two- or four-door variations, it’s the only 4x4 open-air vehicle on the market. A Black Steel and 31-inch Yokohama Dueler Tire package is available on Sport models. The Rubicon Hard Rock edition adds the nine-speaker premium Alpine audio and a new Low Gloss Black grille with High Gloss Black inserts. The Willys Wheeler model salutes the earliest civilian Jeeps, with additional off-road hardware. Last year, the Sahara model saw updates to both interior and exterior, with optional Olive Green leather seats featuring accent stitching. The Rubicon Hard Rock Edition also offers leather seats (black), with a premium audio system and heated front seats – to complement many functional amenities such as an electronic gauge to monitor oil pressure and fluid temperatures. Add towing capability of up to 1,588 kg, and you’re good to go almost anywhere with a few toys.
