Each May the Yukon Liquor Corporation and RCMP conduct a Yukon-wide identification blitz to help reduce the incidence of illegal underage drinking. Any person, in a licensed establishment, who appears to be under 25 needs to be able to provide at least two pieces of identification.

This label is placed on every bottle sold in Yukon and states "WARNING Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can cause birth defects." This initiative started in 1991.

Since 1995, the Yukon Liquor Corporation has provided funding for high school graduating classes throughout the Yukon to promote and support alcohol-free activities. The “Party Tips” brochure suggests ideas to help ensure students get home safe from parties and other graduation festivities.
