The ISP is for everyone; we are all Treaty People. Reconciliation brings us closer to the relationship imagined in the treaties. The plan is about building better relationships with Indigenous communities that are equal, respectful, and mutual.
It is a guide that reflects the collective voices of our community, and will serve as an actionable blueprint to promote and foster Indigenous scholarship, support Indigenous faculty, staff and students and move the institution towards Decolonial Indigenization.
In addressing this history, this plan takes steps towards a thoughtful, respectful, meaningful, and sustainable response to the Calls to Action issued by the TRC and Indigenous Initiatives more broadly.
