This unit serves as the executive office of CICS. Its function is to provide support to the Secretary in his day-to-day activities as the deputy head of the agency.
Whereas the Secretary is the chief executive officer of CICS responsible for the agency’s corporate policies, the Assistant Secretary is accountable for planning, developing and directing the operations of the Secretariat within the mandate of the organization.
