| Meet Felipe, the Brazilian tree frog, a popular species found in the warmer forests and jungles of Brazil. A natural leader amongst his army of fellow frogs, Felipe was chosen as a mascot to represent coaches guiding Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic Games athletes in Rio. Felipe is a passionate supporter of Team Canada. While he himself is often camouflaged and rarely in the spotlight, he recognizes the importance and value of the role a coach plays in developing athletes at every level. Felipe believes a trained, qualified coach enhances the experience of our Canadian athletes. Felipe’s coach pin salutes the personal investment and commitment each coach makes to their own development, as well as to the athletes they coach.
